Primary Course in Food Hygiene (Environmental Health Officers Association) - Level 2

 Description:

Under Food Hygiene regulations, Food Hygiene training must be provided to food handlers commensurate with the work activity.
The objective of the Primary Course in Food Safety is to create an awareness and knowledge in food workers of the reasons for the importance of good food safety practices. The course consists of 8 sessions, each of one hour duration, comprising of text and video presentations, followed by an examination of 1 hour’s duration and covers

  • Introduction to Food Safety
  • Food Contamination
  • Food Delivery & Storage
  • Food Preparation, Cooking and Service
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Layout and Design of a Food Premises & Pest Control Procedures
  • Cleaning
  • An Introduction to Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP)

      

Duration: Minimum 8 hrs

Max Number of Students: 12

Certification: On completion of the course, successful participants are awarded a certificate from the Environmental Health Officers Association
