OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
Description: provides students with ability to recognise and treat the following:
- First aid in the workplace
- Cardiac First Response (see other summary sheet)
- Patient assessment
- Respiratory Emergencies
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Altered level of consciousness
- Musculo-skeletal injuries
- Burns, scalds and electric shock
It also covers CPR and the use of the very important AED (Defibrillator) device, which can be so important in the initial minutes following cardiac arrest. Plenty of practical work and multi-choice question exam, with external assessor carrying out the final assessment.
Ideal course for workers and people involved in sports.
Duration: Three Days (24 Hours) which can be consecutive or held to suit the participants.
Max Number of Students: 10
Certification: FETAC level 5 credit in Occupational First Aid, which is in compliance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2007.
