As part of the food hygiene regulations all food handlers must be trained in basic food hygiene. By sending staff on this course employers will be complying with EU and Irish Legislation. The course content is based on the FSAI level 1 guide to food safety training and covers:

  • Importance of Food Safety
  • Bacteria – conditions for growth
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Pest Control
  • Cleaning
  • Safe food handling inc. cross contamination
  • Introduction to HACCP
  • Record keeping


Duration: 1/2 Day

Max Number of Students: 12

Certification: All staff will complete a short test at the end of the training session.  Tests will be in a True/False format and are available in different languages. A Certificate of attendance will be issued following successful completion of course.
